Yes it’s mine.
Finally…. A blog that shares the ins and outs, ups and downs, of working as an Ocean Adventure and fashion lifestyle photographer on the road.
Having done plenty of blog posts for companies, anecdotes, stories, and struggles brought to the fans of other brands, I am finally bringing more personal insights to the amazing people that have been following my journeys across the world through Instagram, Twitter, Facebook and further in real life.
The support and interaction has been amazing.
Experiencing people, I’ve never met, offer their homes to me, throwing info on cultural differences, places to visit and very importantly the way to the beach or the mountains. This I cannot thank all of my fans for.
Especially when I’m lost in a foreign country with little to no contacts. haha
Anyway, back to the blog.
Here it is…. Tada!
Plenty of new content, and Old content. Blog posts about how I took the images, where I took them, for what companies or what reasons, and definitely lots of stories about what I love in the world, because no one really likes negative blogs.
One big reason I also want to blog is to highlight some of the most amazing and inspiring content I get to see everyday on the internet, and further afield, so please expect some of my blog material to feature other artists, from Photographers, to Videographers, to Illustrators, and hopefully some amazing story tellers also!
Right now, working as HALF an Ocean adventure creative and HALF a fashion lifestyle photographer, I believe, struggle would be a light word. I’ve pushed myself to make a living, and as of recently have pushed myself, mentally and physically (over 6000 miles, with 3000 left) from California to Alaska, documenting creative people. Running my funds into the ground, I do this to create Your Kin , an area for people to come and be inspired. Check out the page, to sign up to the newsletter, or hit here to join the community, as the launch is coming soon!
I get the feeling my road trip from California to Alaska will soon be made into a book, and many new ideas have been pushing my brain, as well as my pocket. But all of it has been worth it, as long as it, at some point, inspires someone to get out, be creative, or simply smile and pass it on.
I HAVE to say thanks to everyone who’s pushed me to start this blog, because it’s really been at the back of my mind for a very long time, and I guess I’ve realised that there’s never a point in which I will truly be “ready” for this, so better get going Now!
I am looking forward to spreading all of my stories with you from places like Iceland, Ireland, Germany, Norway, Australia, Indonesia, just to name a few, but not forgetting this trip! All places I’ve travelled to but not yet shared my experiences from….
And as I write this, I’m watching an amazing sunrise unravel through my van window, while I also finish a website for a local Vancouver mechanic, who has fixed $1000 worth of problems with my van in exchange… That’s how low the funds have gotten… haha
Hopefully it’s not a lasting sign for this blog… which I’m sure it’s not. 🙂
Catch you on the flip side Everyone!
